LONG RANGE IDENTIFICATION AND TRACKING (LRIT)
ENTRY INTO FORCE: 1st January 2008

Please be informed that with respect to the SOLAS V/19-1 Long-Range Identification
regulation, Fulcrum Maritime Systems Ltd and Pole Star Space Applications Limited
has been appointed as an Authorised Testing ASPs on behalf of this Administration (as
defined in MSC.1/Circ.1257 which is attached to this circular) and hereby has full
authority to undertake shipborne equipment testing.
SVG has authorized said Organizations to conduct conformance tests of shipborne
equipment for compliance with the transmission of long range identification and
tracking (LRIT) information under the provisions of SOLAS 1974, as amended,
Regulation V/19-1.
Owners/operators of ships flying SVG flag subject to SOLAS V/19-1 are requested to
forward to chosen Authorised Testing ASP information as follows:
· Ship name
· IMO number
· MMSI number
· Shipborne Equipment ID
· Ship Owner Name
· Ship Owner’s Company Name
· Named contact for Ship
· Contact number and/or email for named contact
· Radio Survey Renewal Date

Specification guidelines contained in MSC.1/Circ.1257, is required to ensure the
reliability and accuracy of the transmitted data. This testing will be carried out
remotely by our Authorized Testing ASPs. Upon satisfactorily completed a
conformance test this Administration will issue a Conformance Test Report.
All ships subject to SOLAS 74 as amended, Chapter V, Reg.19.1 shall hold such a
Conformance Test Report.
